- beauties that shouted to my soul today:
- white sheets billowing in white sunshine and a chilled breeze
- the arresting panorama of miles of mountains on a dry day, with the shadows of clouds making quilt-like patterns over trees.
- my little Chunky Monkey nursing, peeking at me out of the corner of his eye, and pressing his sweet little fat feet into my lips for kisses
“I need to have a word with you….” said Wheaton to his dad.
Red Fox has taken a liking to walking off with Rowan’s “donkey” in an attempt to bury it. That dog sure knows how to charm me ‘eh? Charm himself all the way to the la-la land if he keeps it up….
and our cats are missing! Since last night, Missy and 3 orange-and-whites have been no shows for meals. The options are few; only the two kittens have been around, playing with one another more often than not, and Sam trying to nurse on Baby Grey, who I think is pregnant. She can’t possibly survive delivery, or if she does, I don’t see how her kittens could. I’m not quite sure what to do about that.

I love those moments when adult words come out of tiny bodies! Like Wheaton’s “I’d like to have a word …” AJ was always a surprise … like the time he mentioned how sad it was that our friend Vandy didn’t comprehend “pretend” … she was discussing the evils of playing guns! She has an EDS in education … but her concept of pretend is far less developed than his! Even when he was 4 and made that observation!
