From one of my favorite writers:

All I have to know is that I do not have to know in limited, finite terms of provable fact that which I believe. Infallibility has led to schisms in the Church, to atheism, to deep misery. All I have to know is that God is love, and that love will not let us go, not any of us.” ~Madeleine L’Engle

Looking for these books:

Per my hubby’s suggestion, (and how well he knows me), I’ve decided to follow this train of thought. I’m looking for the following titles. Can’t buy them all, having a hard time with my library situation. If anyone has these and would loan them out, please let me know.
The Rule of Benedict for Beginners

The Family Cloister

The Divine Hours

Lord, Open My Lips; the Liturgy of the Hours

Redeeming the Routines: Bringing Theology To Life

Seeking God: the Way of St. Benedict

Let Labor Day Weekend Begin!!

True relief for those of us who haven’t had a vacation day in a year and a half….

  • Some folks like baseball. Some football. Some Calvinball. My baby? He’s developed a fondness for EGGBALL. What’s that, you say? Imagine one dozen eggs removed from the refridge and LAUNCHED in many directions. The object of the game seems to be how many directions mom can run in to clean it up, catch the next egg before it’s thrown, while dodging slimy puddles on the tile. Great fun.
  • A New Nirvana: whole grain French Toast, cooked in fragrant coconut oil, and slathered with apple jelly and butter. Add a cup of fresh coffee and have it on a morning when you’re good and overtired. Bliss.
