I'm still wondering about the flat glass screen thing. I like having tangible buttons to click and feel. It's like that keyboard that just projects the images of a keyboard on your desk and then senses your fingers: it seems like a great idea, but doesn't pull off quite so well in practice.

The concept of a purely software phone is great, but we'll see how it stands up to market.

Maybe I'm just coming up with excuses because I know I'll never own one...

Tell. Me. About. It. I found myself with jaw open (literally) at the end of the commercial the other night. I knew it would be exceptional coming from Apple but I had no idea it would be like this. Lovely little piece of technology indeed. One day, maybe. ;-)

This from the Apple site about the touch screen durability:

"Apple also announced that the entire top surface of iPhone, including its stunning 3.5-inch display, has been upgraded from plastic to optical-quality glass to achieve a superior level of scratch resistance and optical clarity."

Leave it to Apple. :D
