Tia,

Since reading this post (and the links in it), I have turned off my air conditioner except for when I really need it. I have also done the mature thing and now turn the lights off when I go to bed(There's so much light coming into the windows from the street--even with the blinds drawn-- that the boogeyman stays away even without the hall light).

If any one can think of what to do with a constant supply of plastic yogurt containers (I made a strainer out of a large one), I'd be grateful.

This idea about unshampooing is excellent. I also have VERY curly hair and have struggled with it for years. All the specialty curly hair cosmetics clog up my shower drain something dreadful. I think I can handle the icky hair transition she mentions - I have a wonderful garden hat that I wear all summer!
By the way - I love your blog and am inspired that you also are on the lifestyle path we are striving to follow. I wish I could also find a few folks nearby that share this perspective. I'm in NE Oklahoma. Until then - it's great to have the cyber community to learn and grow with.
