I’m not sure if it’s going to work in the toaster oven but I am MISSING baking bread. So I’m giving it a shot with a buttery loaf of white.

Seed Saving for the first time! These beans have been my neighbor’s family for two generations or longer…they are fantastic climbers. One of these days I’m going to blog about my awesome neighbor.

Rows of blackberry apple jelly, made twice. The first time it didn’t gel so I opened all the cans, reboiled with more pectin and recanned. It still doesn’t look gelled…the recipe said it can take up to two weeks for some jellys to gel….and if not, we have blackberry apple syrup!

You, dear mint, shall soon be juleped. And then jellied. And then dried into a tea…for those who like that sort of thing.

And if you do not ripen soon, thou shalt be fried green and sprinkled with feta, for lo, I am hungry and can not wait for garden fresh tomatoes too much longer….

Oregano, I say to you always: in a week’s time you shall hang from my kitchen window in a cluster, to be dried and stored for winter days needing a taste of summertime lasange. Tis a good fate for you, oh bountious herb.
