More cliches, wive’s tales, and wise words…
I’m still on the warpath to change the tide around here though I’m tempted at times to just go with the flow and succumb to the madness :-).
I went to bed last night after a long night of creative work, discovery of a new pestilence, and woke to the dog chewing my cell phone (and only link out other than email) into shreds. First order of the day annhilated the creative work I did the night before, kids all hated their breakfast, and dogs ate all the cat food. At this point, I’m non-reactive…just sort of wide-eyed and stunned that momentum can tumble in around me like this sometimes. Which led to….more one liners! So from yesterday:
“This ‘came to pass’ and did not ‘come to stay’ ”
“The only way out is through”
and more:
“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
“Things always look different in three days.”
“Don’t sweat the small stuff.”
“Roll with the punches”.
Gimme s’more…”hit me with your best shot” ![]()

Quoted on a recent blog:
“On the other side of adversity is always something better” (and I happen to believe the bigger the adversity, the better the opportunity. How cool will it be for you to look back someday on all that is going on now and realize how it helped prepare you for something better).

Which leads to … “God never gives you more than you can handle.”
Even though it’s hard to believe sometimes.

By the way Tia,
I want to tell you how much your blog means to me.
I was having a very hard day yesterday. A mommy needs to remove herself from the kids to keep them “safe” day. Trust me. It was the responsible choice.
I actually did leave for a few hours, my teens were home with the “littles” as we call them. I needed to get away and have a think, and a pray and cry.
I’ve been dealing with Lymes since April, and while I am getting better, I still have Killer days. It’s been
a long recovery of a series of recoveries that maybe I’ll save for my blog.
I have six wonderfully VITAL, children. Whew…MAN..are they vital!
I did come home and go to bed around 7:pm actually getting to SLEEP at around 11:pm… thank you… vital… children. However, My daughters forgot to put the cats in and they had a screaming fur flying fight with Scummy the Tomcat(we named him) and I woke with a start at around 2:am.
After 2 hours of tossing, turning, gnashing of teeth and crying. I finally got on line and stumbled across you blog.
Eureka! I have found a friend! I identify with you so much, that it’s freakish.
I’ve been reading your stories all day when I could. I’m REALLY tired now.
I’m going to sleep. Pray I stay asleep.
I have homeschooling for the three youngest and I have to go get the milk from the dairy tomorrow.
Thanks again. I feel like I’m going to make it.

Off the subject, but, I was just reading some of your old posts and saw that Wheaton’s birthday is around Sept. 29. Is it on the 29Th? Just wondering as this would be weird. My husband and oldest son are both born on Sept. 29!
