My son used to do triathlons. It didn't matter what kind of swim stroke you used, as long as you could get from start to finish! Just be careful at the start, as those not out in front tend to kick the others behind them in the face. Not fun! Look on ebay or craig's list for gear, you can get it much cheaper there. My son just sold his training and racing bikes for a fraction of what they cost new. Good luck to you! I enjoy following your story!

I haven't been as deliberate as you in writing goals and sticking to them. But I'm having to readjust nevertheless.
- I went back to school, which was a a goal of mine. I did really well, and was bumped up to honors. I loved being a student, having the deadline of assignments....the whole thing. I should have chosen an academic career! :-)
- I kept up with my Project 365 blog until I didn't have a camera anymore! I kinda miss it sometimes, so if I can get another camera I might take it back up.
- Because the economy isn't being kind to our house, I'm having to adjust to a 1/3 paycut in our household budget. And I'm probably going to have to forget school and get a job. So my goals now are about getting my resume burnished, getting an interview wardrobe, and networking. I have an interview on Tuesday morning...we'll see. The whole idea of pulling in a paycheck is foreign to me....I've been a stay at home mom for 22 years. I guess the gig is up. :-)
- Bill and I have talked recently about the idea of liquidating and starting over. Moving to another area of the country, and deliberately choosing a new life. We're thinking once the kids were out of the house (3 more years) we might want to move out west and he might want to try a different career/lifestyle... more nature, less suburbs; more green, lower standard of living, etc.. Right now these are just thoughts, but in the coming months I'm hoping to research how to make this option a realistic possibility.
- Not making much progress on losing weight/fitness.

Kayak!
Quick word of advice... we bought our ocean kayak which seats two at Costco for $250 which is an incredibly good price. I priced these on the internet and irl and could find nothing less than $700. So, if you decide you want to own a kayak... I highly recommend perusing Costco regularly since their inventory changes regularly. Last time I was there, I saw they were selling the more traditional kind of kayak.

Glad you are meeting your other goals so well and seem to be in a much better place than you were only months ago.

much love to you.
