Oh, do I know the challenge with swimming. But I find it alot easier than running. When Tyler and I were swimming laps recently, I was surprised that he couldn't keep up as well with mom. There were those pros that swam nearly underwater half the pool, with their goggles, swim caps and all. You know, they dive into the water from the diving boards and just start swimming. Me, I get in the shallow end, hold my nose, and make it to my lane, ducking under each buoy rope thing. So, I guess we all have to start somewhere:-)

Mark, I swam next to the Y coordinator today, who was doing a 500 yd. swim, and was surprised to be keeping a pretty even pace with him! He reminded me that swimming is like cardio with the heart rate and we don't typically do cardio holding our breath! Made sense to me....Of course, my goal right now is just to consistently get across with a decent stroke. I haven't even started trying to coordinate breathing! :-)
