What Propels You?

Open question:

“When you need to change something in your life, what motivates you to move from knowledge to action?”

Necessity. Something like an actual deadline, a real need not an imagined one.

Good question! I’ve been struggling with something recently. So I’d say either loss of peace/Holy Spirit or like Beth said, Necessity. I need to change the way I eat, it’s a necessity, not something I particulary want to do, but a need to be healthier.

I wish I knew. I know that I need to exercise yet can’t seem to make myself do it. The will isn’t there. I hope I can find it before some real medical issue compels me to adopt a healthier lifestyle!

Mine’s desire…in thinking about it, I figured that even if I need it, but don’t want to do it, I will often instead find a way not to need it! And if I need it but don’t want it, yet do it anyway because “I’m a grown up”, it often doesn’t last…just until the pressure is off.

My dad used to say, “yagottawanna”. And then he tweaked it to, “yagottawanna and then some”.
