I have blonde hair and very fair skin and my husband and I adopted our son from Guatemala. Obviously, we look very different. However, I've never had anyone say anything to me like that. Though, we live in South Florida where there are a lot of mixed couples (and children of Hispanic and mixed race heritage), so perhaps people are more accepting. Juliana Unbelievable.
