Hello, dear Tia! Wonderful post here. It makes me want to visit New York, even though I'm a country girl at heart. I do love a good musical. And bagels, too. ;-) Anyway, I really appreciated your wonderful way with words this evening. Keep writing; you're certainly doing what you were made to do, though it looks different than what you expected. I pray for you often!
Love, Misty

I've been reading your blog since your move to TN a few years back. I love your writing...you have a way with words that captivate a reader. I sip my morning tea and read, digest, think & ponder. Thanks for the NYC entry...I've never been there and just recently have had the desire to visit and experience it first hand. I LOVE to travel, but large scale travel has been on the back burner since my oldest was born 9.5 years ago. I keep quite busy at home, schooling our 3 girls.

Thanks for the "escape" that your journal (blog) provides. I drink each entry in & savor slowly. You inspire! Thanks!!

Your travel journal is wonderful. Thanks for taking us along on the trip with the photos & writing.

Am seriously craving a "real" bagel. Wonder how far off my normal bike route I'd need to loop in order to hit the NY Deli & Bakery near here?

Sounds like a blast! I use to spend a lot of time in NYC. In addition to acquiring a bagel addiction (all those unmitigated carbs), I thought the pizza was a completely different animal in taste, texture and certainly size. The natives that guided me folded it in half to eat it. Even the rattiest places seemed to have better pizza than the franchise stuff we have here.

I love flying back in to Blount County, although gone is the scent of good plowed dirt that used to greet a weary traveller.
