Stepping Through….
True:
- the first day has come and left
- everyone was excited
- drop off went smoothly
- it feels unnatural to drive away from your kids
- we were all brave
- I cried in the car for an hour, feeling like I’d just fed them to the wolves
- the teachers are all great
- kids are tough
- there are lots of new opportunities
- pick up went smoothly
- everyone was smiling at the end of it all
- everyone made new friends on the first day
- “follow the herd” is a viable skill

They look so adorable! Love the braids. I cried the first day I dropped off my oldest. It was hard. But then this year came and I dropped of Monkey for hsi first day. Instead of crying, I smiled all the way home because I knew he was at the beginning of an awesome journey.

I’m happy to hear it was a good day for all. My kids start Sept. 2nd. I understand that yours are in a very good school district and that it’s small. Rowie will sure miss them eh?
